Hi! I’m Hoot. Here’s what WordHit remembers about you — in plain words.
What we remember
- Your nickname and the owl picture you picked.
- Which words you have practised, and how well they are going.
- Your stars, coins and day streak.
What we never ask you for
- Your email address or phone number.
- Your birthday, your home address or where you are.
- A photo of you.
- Your real full name — a nickname is perfect.
Nobody is watching you play
We do not show you adverts. We do not follow you around other apps or websites. Nobody can send you messages inside WordHit Kids.
Hoot reads words out loud
When you tap the play button, the word and sentence are sent to a helper that turns writing into speech. It only gets the words on your screen — never your nickname and never anything you typed.
If something feels wrong
Stop and tell a grown-up you trust. They can send us a message from the Grown-ups area, and we will read it.
You can always ask a grown-up to delete everything WordHit remembers about you. That is completely fine.
